Strawberry jam (parish)

Ingredients

2 | quarts | Strawberries |
5½ | cup | Sugar |
Boiling water |
Directions
Wash & hull the berries. Place in a large pot. Cover with boiling water & let stand for 3 minutes. Drain. Add 2½ cups of water, boil hard for 3 minutes. Add remaining sugar & boil hard for another 3 minutes. Let stand overnight, either in large bowls or platters.
Ladle into serile jars. Seal.
