Stir fried beef with anise hyssop

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Steak; cut across the grain into strips 3 inches long and 1/2 inch wide
½ cup Chopped anise hyssop flowers and leaves
⅓ cup Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
2 tablespoons Sherry
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
¼ cup Water
2 teaspoons Cornstarch dissolved in:
2 teaspoons Water

From: arielle@... (Stephanie da Silva) Date: Sat, 22 Apr 1995 11:28:04 GMT Combine flank steak with chopped anise hyssop, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sherry. Marinate at least 2 hours.

Remove meat from marinade, reserving liquid. Heat wok, add oil and stir fry meat for 3 minutes. Add water and marinade and heat to boiling. Add cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened.

Serve over rice.
