Yield: 4 Dozen
|1 \N||(8 oz) block sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded|
|1 cup||All-purpose flour|
|¼ cup||Butter or margarine, chilled and cut up|
|¼ teaspoon||Dry mustard|
|¼ teaspoon||Ground red pepper|
|3 tablespoons||Cold water|
Process first 6 ingredients in a food processor until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add 3 tablespoons water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and process until mixture forms a ball.
Divide dough in half. Roll each portion to ¼ inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut 1 portion with a 2½ inch star-shaped cutter. Cut remaining portion into 3 x ½ inch strips. Place stars and strips on ungreased baking sheets.
