Starlight mint suprise

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 cups Flour
1 teaspoon Soda
1½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Butter
½ cup Crisco
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Firmly packed Brown Sugar
2 \N Unbeaten eggs
2 tablespoons Water
1 teaspoon Vanilla

1. Grease baking pans or cookie sheets. 2. SIFT together pre-measured flour, soda, and salt. 3. CREAM butter and shortening together. (Hint you can use all butter if you choose.) Gradually ADD the two sugars.

BLEND in 2 unbeaten eggs. ADD the water and the vanilla. BEAT WELL.

4. ADD the sifted, dry ingredients. MIX thoroughly. Cover with wax paper*. Refrigerate at least two hours. 5. Preheat oven to 375øF.

Open package of Starlight Solid Milk Chocolate Wafers. Enclose wafer in 1 tablespoon of chilled dough. Place on cookie sheet 2" apart. Top each cookie with a walnut half. 6. Bake at 375ø for 10-12 minutes.
