Smoked ham, jack cheese batard

1 | Loaf sourdough bread,(Batard) | |
2 | pounds | Monterey jack cheese,sliced |
1 | pounds | Sliced smoked ham |
10 | ounces | Pineapple & Red Pepper Relish (r) |
Directions
Slice bread down the middle and lay flat. Layer cheese on both sides and place under broiler until cheese is soft and starts to bubble. Remove from oven and add ham and relish. Close bread, wrap in foil and place in oven at 350 for 10 minutes. remove, le t sit 5 minutes, slice and serve. source on the Grapevine- Lesley B. Fay FINE FOODS of SONOMA via (1996)
