Rugelach (cream cheese cookies)

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ pounds Butter
8 ounces Cream cheese
2 cups Flour
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Raisins
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Nuts; finely chopped
½ cup Sugar




Cream softened butter and cream cheese together. Beat in the flour, little by little. Knead dough until all the flour is absorbed. Chill for 1 hour, after dividing into 2 portions. Filling: Combine all ingredients for filling. Roll out one portion of the dough into a circle ¼-inch thick.

Cut into triangle wedges. Sprinkle with filling, beginning at the wide end and rolling the dough toward the point. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
