Quick creole sauce

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Green peppers -- chopped
¼ cup Chopped onions
¼ cup Chopped olives
1 \N Garlic clove -- minced
2 tablespoons Margarine
10 ounces Tomato sauce -- * see note
¼ cup Milk
3 \N Parsley sprigs -- chopped
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 teaspoon Bay leaves -- crumbled
1 pinch Thyme

* Original recipe called for one 10-ounce can of tomato soup; I prefer tomato sauce, but use soup if you wish, or try a mixture of the two.

The flavored tomato sauces are excellent.

Saute green pepper, onion, olives and garlic in margarine for 5 minutes (or mix olive oil for half the margarine). Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
