Prawn baffad

Measure Ingredient
¼ kilograms Uncooked shelled prawns
8 \N Dried kashmiri chillies
½ teaspoon Cummin seeds
12 \N Peppercorns
3 \N Cloves garlic
\N \N /2-inch piece ginger
1 teaspoon Ground turmeric
2 \N Onions, chopped
2 larges Tomatoes, skinned and chopped
\N \N Salt to taste
\N small Amount of tamarind dissolved in a litle water
\N \N Vinegar to taste

Grind together the chillies, cummin, peppercorns, garlic and ginger. Mix in the turmeric. Fry the onions in a little oil until golden brown. Add the tomato and prawns. Fry for a minute. Add the masala, tamarind and vinegar. Cover and cook until prawns are done.
