|1½ pounds||Potatoes, peeled and coarsly grated|
|¼ teaspoon||Freshly ground black pepper|
|1||Red bell pepper, seeded and diced|
|6||Crushed juniper berries|
Place potatoes in a colander and rinse well under cold running water.
Do not drain, but place them in a skillet with other ingredients.
Cook gently, turning occasionally, for ½ hour. Add water sparingly, as needed.
