Ported cheese apple

Measure Ingredient
\N \N This looks like a big red apple. The cinnamon stick makes the stem, and the
\N \N Bay
\N \N Leaf an apple leaf.
1½ cup Grated cheddar cheese
1 pack (125g) Cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon Port wine
\N \N Paprika
1 each Cinnamon stick
1 each Bay leaf

Blend together the cheeses and wine. Wrap the cheese mixture in a sheet of plastic wrap and shape into a ball. Chill about 1 hour or until ball in slightly set. Form wrapped cheese ball into the form of an apple. Unwrap; sprinkle (or roll) with paprika until completely coated. Use a small piece of cinnamon stick and the bay leaf toform the stem and leaf of the apple. Serve with assorted crackers and fruit. Origin: Canadian Living, December 1991 Shared by: Sharon Stevens
