Piquant chicken

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Fresh ginger; coarsely grate
1 tablespoon Fresh basil; chopped -or-
1 teaspoon Dried basil
¾ cup Dry red wine
1 tablespoon Soy sauce
1 Cl Garlic; minced (or 1/2 ts
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
4 Boneless skinless chicken br
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Combine ginger, basil, wine, soy sauce, garlic, and brown sugar. Heat oil in large skillet;\saute chicken on both side until golden brown, about 8 minutes total. Spoon ginger mixture over chicken, reduce heat to simmer, and cover skillet. Cook about 4 minutes longer, turning once.
