| 1 | cup | Olive oil |
| 4 | tablespoons | Pine nuts |
| 4 | Garlic cloves | |
| ½ | cup | Parmesan cheese -- grated |
| OR | ||
| ½ | cup | Vegan parmesan substitute |
| 3 | tablespoons | Romano cheese -- grated |
Directions
To make filling: Blend basil, oil, nuts and garlic for 2 to 3 minutes in a blender or food processor.
Add cheese and blend until smooth, about one minute. Fill and cook tamales according to "Tamales: Basic Procedure".
