Penne with grilled salmon, asparagus and lemon butter

2 | Salmon steaks; about 1/2 inch thick | |
1 | teaspoon | Soy sauce |
8 | ounces | Asparagus; cut diagonal, the same size as the penne |
6 | tablespoons | Butter |
½ | teaspoon | Fresh grated ginger |
1 | Garlic clove | |
1 | tablespoon | Fresh lemon juice |
1 | tablespoon | Grated lemon zest |
Directions
Cook pasta until al dente, about 12 minutes. Brush salmon with soy sauce on both sides. Grill or broil until almost cooked, about 3 minutes each side.
Cool slightly and pull into flakes, discarding bones. Steam asparagus until crisp, tender, about 4 minutes. Drain pasta and melt butter in the large pot. Add ginger and garlic, saute 30 seconds.
