Peanut butter cup chocolate cookies

½ | cup | Butter or margarine |
¾ | cup | Granulated sugar |
¾ | cup | Packed brown sugar |
1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |

2 | ounces | Unsweetened chocolate,melted and cooled |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
2¼ | cup | All-purpose flour |
2 | cups | Coarsely chopped chocolate covered peanut butter cups |
Directions
Beat shortening and butter or margarine in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, and baking soda; beat till combined. Add eggs, melted and cooled chocolate, and vanilla; beat till well combined.
Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in chopped peanut butter cups.
Drop dough from a rounded tablespoon 2½ inches apart onto a ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375øF oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till tops look dry. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute.
