|½ cup||Peanut butter|
|3 \N||Eggs,well beaten|
|1½ cup||Brown sugar,firmly packed|
|½ teaspoon||Baking powder|
|½ cup||Brown sugar,firmly packed|
|1 pack||Chocolate pieces,semisweet|
1. Preheat oven to 350'F.
2. Blend peanut butter and butter together; gradually beat in sugar; work in flour with back of a spoon. Pat into bottom of greased 8" square pan. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, make the tortelike topping.
*** TOPPING ***
Beat eggs with brown sugar until creamy. Blend in flour and baking powder, then fold in remaining ingredients. Pour over baked peanut butter mixture and bake 30 minutes more at same temperature. Cool thoroughly in pan. Cut in squares.
