Mom bess's boiled raisin cake

Yield: 1 cake

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Raisins
2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Butter
3 tablespoons Molasses
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Cloves
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 cup Water raisins were boiled in
1 teaspoon Soda
2½ cup Flour

(only directions given)

Boil the 1 Cup raisins for 20 minutes in the 2 Cups water.
