Microwave chicken stock (traditional)

Ingredients

| 1 | Carrot, chopped coarsely | |
| 1 | small | Onion, quartered |
| 2 | Stalks celery, chopped coarsely | |
| ½ | cup | Minced fresh parsley |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 4 | Peppercorns | |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Dried thyme |
| 4 | cups | Water |
Directions
Place all of the ingredients in a 3-quart microwave-safe bowl. Cover and cook on high power for 20 minutes; skim. Cook for on medium power for 1 hour. Strain.
Makes 3 cups.
