Meringue icing (royal icing)

Ingredients

| 4 | tablespoons | (level) meringue powder |
| 4 | cups | Sifted icing sugar |
| ½ | cup | Less |
| 2 | teaspoons | Water |
Directions
Combine all ingredients. Beat for 7 to 10 minutes on high speed until the icing stands in peaks. Keep in tightly covered container and cover with a damp cloth when container is open and standing for a considerable length of time.
