Maple glazed pork

1 Servings

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 Pork loin chops; bone in, 1 inch thick, patted dry
½ cup All purpose flour
2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
¼ cup Cider vinegar
¼ cup Plus 2 Tbs. maple syrup
½ cup Brown sugar

Directions

Prep: 5 min, Cook: 25 min.

Preheat oven to 450øF. Season pork with salt and pepper to taste. Dredge pork in flour and shake off excess. Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over high heat. Add butter and sear chops 4-5 minutes, turning frequently, or until browned. Transfer pork to a shallow roasting pan and bake 10-15 minutes or until pork is just cooked throughout. Discard drippings from skillet and heat over medium high heat. Add vinegar to skillet, stirring with a wooden spoon to deglaze. Stir in maple syrup and reduce heat to low. Cover skillet and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat and keep warm. Turn on broiler.

Place pork chops on broiler pan. Top each pork chop with brown sugar. Broil 1 minute or until pork chops are glazed and sugar has turned dark brown.

Serve chops with sauce.
