Ingredients

114 oz can butter beans; drained

1Green bell pepper; cut in strips

13 oz can sliced mushrooms; drained
½cupCatsup
2tablespoonsPrepared mustard
cupMaple syrup (may use part molasses)
1teaspoonOregano
8Cloves, whole
2Bay leaf
cupRed wine (optional)
1cupDiced green chiles (or more to taste); roasted and
1cupSerrano chiles (or more to taste); sliced in rings

Directions

Cut bacon slices in half and cook over medium heat, add green pepper and onion. Cook until onion is beginning to turn translucent and bacon is cooked but not crisp. Add all other ingredients. Stir and heat.
