Hummus bi tahina

Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
30 ounces Garbanzo beans, (2 cans) undrained
3 smalls Cloves garlic
5 tablespoons Tahini, (sesame seed paste)
¼ cup Fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons Water

Drain garbanzo beans, reserving ¼ cup liquid, and set aside.

Position knife blade in food processor bowl.

Drop garlic through food chute with processor running, and process 3 seconds or until minced. Add garbanzo beans, reserved ¼ cup liquid, and remaining ingredients; process 3 minutes or until smooth. Yield: 3 cups (serving size:

¼ cup).

Per serving: 300 Calories; 8g Fat (22% calories from fat); 15g Protein; 45g Carbohydrate; 0mg Cholesterol; 18mg Sodium Serving Ideas : Serve with pita bread and raw vegetables.

NOTES : Spoon mixture into a serving bowl.
