Happy-holiday layers

Yield: 12 servings

Measure Ingredient
Newspapers from the 40's to
1 each Package lime-flavored gelatin
2 cups Hot water
1 each 9-ounce can (1 cup) seedless white grapes, drained
½ cup Chopped celery
1 each Envelope (1 tablespoon) unflavored gelatin 70's
¼ cup Cold water
1 cup Boiling water
½ cup Frozen lemonade concentrate
½ cup Mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 each 1-pound can (2 cups) fruit cocktail
1 each Package cherry-f1avored gelatin
1 cup Hot water

First layer: Dissolve lime gelatin in 2 cups hot water. Chill till partially set. Add grapes and celery; pour into a 2-quart mold and chill until firm. Second layer: Soften unflavored gelatin in ¼ cup cold water; dissolve in 1 cup boiling water. Add lemonade concentrate; blend in mayonnaise. Chill till partially set. Pour over lime layer and chill until firm. Third layer: Drain fruit cocktail; reserve syrup, adding water to make 1 cup. Dissolve cherry gelatin in 1 cup hot water. Add reserved fruit-cocktail syrup. Chill till partially set. Add fruit cocktail; pour over the layers in mold.

Chill till firm. Unmold on salad greens. Serve with Lemon Mayonnaise.

Makes 12 servings.
