Ham strata^

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Butter
1 cup Chopped celery
⅓ cup Chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons Chopped onion
2 cups Chopped cooked ham, chicken
\N \N Or turkey
¼ cup Mayonnaise or that fake
\N \N Stuff, divided
\N \N Sour cream
12 slices White bread, crusts removed
1 pack (6oz) sharp cheddar cheese
\N \N Slices
4 larges Eggs
3 cups Milk
¾ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
\N \N Fresh parsley sprigs

GARNISHES

Cook celery, onion and pepper in butter unti tender. Take off heat, stir in ham and let cool.

Spread each slice bread with 1 teaspoon mayonnaise and put mayonnaise side up in a 13X9X2" baking dish. Top with ham, cheese and rest of bread, mayonnaise side down.

Combine next 3 ingredients and eggs, stir well;pour over bread slices.

Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight covered. Before baking remove from refrigerator for 30 mins.

Bake at 300F. for 1½ hours. If desired garnish. Serve immediately.
