Ham hocks and lima beans

4Ham hocks; halved
2Bay leaves
1Onion; chopped
1Bell pepper; chopped
2cupsChopped tomatoes
1cupTomato sauce
1teaspoonSugar
¼teaspoonGround cloves
½teaspoonPapper
Salt; to taste

Directions

*soaked overnight and drained Place beans in bottom of crock pot and add remaining ingredients with 1½ quarts of water. Cover and cook on high 2 hours. Turn heat to low and cook, covered, 10 to 12 hours.
