Gumdrops (jim vorheis)

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Gelatin
½ cup Cold water
2 cups Sugar
¾ cup Boiling water

Soften gelatin in cold water. Combine sugar and boiling water. Boil 5 minutes. Add gelatin. Stir until dissolved. Boil slowly 15 minutes.

Divide into 3 portions. Flavor each portion, and tint with any desired food coloring. Pour into shallow pans which have been dipped in cold water. Let stand overnigh. Turn out and cut in squares. Roll in powdered or granulated sugar. Let stand until firm. The Household Searchlight
