Guisadong sitao (sauteed long beans)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cups Chinese long beans (sitao); cut into 2-inch pieces
1 each Tb vegetable oil
2 eaches Clove garlic; minced
2 mediums Onion; sliced
1 medium Tomato; sliced
½ cup Sliced pork
½ cup Shrimp; shelled
¼ cup Shrimp juice (optional)
1 each Tb soy sauce)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

YIELD: 5 SERVINGS

In a skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in oil until lightly browned. Add onion and tomato slices and cook for 2 minutes. Add pork and soy sauce. Simmer for about 15 minutes or until pork is tender.

Add shrimps, long beans, shrimp juice, a little salt and pepper, and let cook for another 10-15 minutes or until long beans are tender.

Correct seasoning to taste. Transfer to a serving container and serve immediately. Serves 4-5 Note: Green beans can be used in palce of the long beans in this recipe.
