Grilled bread and cherry tomato salad

1 small Garlic clove; minced 1
⅓ cup Balsamic vinegar 75 mL
1½ tablespoon Olive oil 20 mL
¼ teaspoon Pepper 1 mL

2 tablespoons Chopped fresh chives or green onions 25

⅓ cup Chopped fresh basil or parsley 75 mL
6 slices French or Italian bread; about 3/4 inch/4 cm
\N \N ; thick 6
4 cups Cherry tomatoes; halved 1 L

In small bowl, whisk together garlic, vinegar, oil, pepper and salt. Stir in chives and basil. Reserve.

Barbecue or toast bread. Cut each slice into 1½ inch/4 cm pieces.

Toss bread with cherry tomatoes and dressing. Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.
