Filo pastry basket

Measure Ingredient
Butter
1 Egg yolk
3 Sheets filo pastry
1 tablespoon Water

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4.

Grease a suitable mould (on the outside) with the butter. Beat the egg yolk and mix with a tablespoon of water. Brush a square sheet of filo with the egg yolk and place a second sheet on the top, brush one more with the eggwash and repeat the process a third time.

Place the sheets over the greased mould and bake at 180C/350F/gas 4 for 3-4 minutes. Remove and cool.

Remove from the mould while still warm and keep ready to use.
