Daddy's hot water sponge

Ingredients

| Egg yolks (from Angel Food cake) | ||
| ½ | cup | Water, boiling |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vanilla extract, or more |
| 1½ | cup | Flour |
| 1½ | cup | Sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Baking powder |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 3 | tablespoons | Cocoa |
Directions
Prepare loaf pan with Pam spray; preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Sift together the flour and sugar with the baking powder, salt and cocoa. Beat eggs; pour in boiling water and vanilla. Stir eggs into flour mixture. Pour batter into pan and bake until done.
