1 | Box long grain wild rice | |
6 | ounces | Jar mushrooms; slice, drain |
4 | ounces | Almonds; slivered |
1 | tablespoon | Basil flakes |
¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
2 | Bay leaves | |
1 | teaspoon | Tarragon |
½ | teaspoon | Chives |
2 | tablespoons | Butter |
1 | teaspoon | Soy sauce |
2¼ | cup | Spring water |
1 | teaspoon | Black pepper |
Directions
In a saucepan cook the rice and the remaining ingredients to make a stuffing for 15 minutes on medium. Stir and cover and simmer on low for 5 minutes. Take rice and stuff it into each hen. Make sure each hen has 1 bay leaf only. Spray the foil with Pam and wrap each Cornish Hen tightly. Put them in a crockpot, add ¼ c water and cook on low for 10 hours.
