Here's a nice Chrismasy recipe from Favorite Recipes of America.
Cream shortening; gradually add sugar, beating until smooth and creamy. Add eggs and flavorings; beat thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture. Set oven at 400 degrees. Roll dough ⅛-inch thick on well-floured board. Cut into star shape with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen cookies.
