2 ounces | Unsweetened chocolate |
1½ cup | Flour |
½ teaspoon | Baking powder |
½ teaspoon | Baking soda |
¼ teaspoon | Salt |
1 cup | Brown sugar; packed |
½ cup | Buttermilk |
1 large | Egg |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
1 cup | Chocolate chips |
½ cup | Walnuts; chopped |
¼ cup | Margarine; softened |
2 tablespoons | Cocoa |
2½ cup | Powdered sugar |
2 teaspoons | Instant coffee |
1 dash | Salt |
¼ cup | Milk; approximately |
FROSTING
Cookies: Melt margarine & chocolate together. Cool. 10 minutes. Add brown sugar to chocolate mixture. Add egg, vanilla & buttermilk. Add dry ingredients. Stir in chips & nuts. Drop on lightly greased cookie sheets.
Bake 375F for 8 - 10 minutes. Cool; frost.
Frosting: Blend all ingredients together. Use only enough milk to make frosting spreadable.
