Chocolate butter gooey

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1¼ \N Stick butter; melted
1 \N Box (18.5-oz) butter recipe chocolate cake mix
1 \N Egg; slightly beaten
1 \N Box (1-lb) powdered sugar
1 pack (8-oz) cream cheese
2 \N Eggs
½ cup Chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350ø. Mix butter, cake mix and 1 slightly beaten egg until well blended. Press into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Cream the sugar and cream cheese and add eggs and chocolate chips. Pour this mixture over the bottom layer. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until lightly browned. For vanilla butter gooey use one (18½-oz) box yellow cake mix instead of the chocolate and omit the chocolate chips. Yield: 24 squares.
