Choco-peanut butter cookies #1

Ingredients

| ½ | cup | Shortening |
| ½ | cup | Peanut butter |
| ½ | cup | Granulated sugar |
| ½ | cup | Packed brown sugar |
| 1 | Egg | |
| 2 | tablespoons | Water |
| 1¼ | cup | Flour |
| ¾ | teaspoon | Soda |
| ½ | teaspoon | Baking powder |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 2 | packs | (6-oz) semi-sweet chocolate morsels |
| ½ | cup | Chopped; salted peanuts |
Directions
Heat oven to 375. Grease a 13x9x2-inch pan. Mix shortening, peanut butter, sugars & egg thoroughly. Stir in water, flour, soda, baking powder, salt & 1 package chocolate morsels. Spread in pan. Bake about 20 minutes. Remove from oven & immediately sprinkle remaining package of chocolate morsels evenly over baked layer. Place baking sheet over pan so contained heat will soften morsels. Spread softened chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with peanuts & cut into bars. Makes about 32 cookies.
