Chef freddy's cream of mushroom soup

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Mushrooms (fresh)[sliced
\N \N & saut‚ed]
2 tablespoons Butter
4 cups Milk [2%]
½ cup Flour
4 tablespoons Butter
¼ teaspoon Garlic powder
½ teaspoon Onion powder
¼ teaspoon Sweet basil
\N \N Salt and pepper to taste

1) Saut‚e the sliced mushrooms in 2 tb of butter `til the mushrooms are golden brown and set aside... 2) Prepare a roux by melting the butter and then adding the flour a little at a time only `til the butter will take no more flour... add the spices and then the milk wisking `til there are no lumps... 3) Bring to a slow boil and add the mushrooms and continue heating `til they are heated through... 4) Season with the salt and pepper to taste and serve...
