Bramborova polevka zasmazena (creamed potato soup)

3ouncesRoot vegetables, chopped
cupShortening
cupFlour
6cupsWater
3ouncesMushrooms, fresh
Salt
1eachGarlic clove, crushed
1pinchMarjoram
Parsley, chopped

Directions

Fry root vegetables in the shortening. Sprinkle with flour and fry until golden brown. Cover with cold water, stir well. Add mushrooms and potatoes, boil for about 20 minutes. Finally, add garlic, salt, marjoram and reheat. Flavor with chopped parsley as needed.
