Yield: 1 Servings
|½ cup||Butter or margarine|
|½ cup||Brown sugar|
|2||Egg whites; beaten slightly|
|¼ cup||Walnuts; crushed|
Combine butter, shortening, brown sugar, flour, salt, and vanilla. Roll into 1" balls. Roll balls in egg whites and then roll in crushed walnuts.
Put finger indention in center. Fill with jam. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
NOTES : This recipe came from Sherrie. She sent them to her husband one Christmas and I tasted them at his home. They were delicious and I immediately contacted her for her recipe. We really missed her that Christmas!!! :(
