Barbara firey's cheese bread

Yield: 8 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 Loaf French bread
½ cup Butter or margarine; softened
½ pounds Sharp Cheddar cheese; grated
5 tablespoons Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Miracle Whip
1 tablespoon (heaping) finely chopped green onion tops

Preheat oven to 400ø. Split the loaf of bread lengthwise and spread with the softened butter. Combine cheese, mayonnaise, Miracle Whip and onions.

Spread on the buttered bread. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese begins to bubble. Do not let it brown! Slice each half into 8 pieces. Yield: 8 servings.
