Ingredients

| 1 | pounds | Plain flour. |
| A pinch of salt | ||
| 4 | ounces | Granulated sugar |
| 4 | ounces | Currants |
| 4 | ounces | Sultanas |
| 4 | ounces | Large raisins; stoned |
| 4 | ounces | Lard |
| A little chopped candied peel | ||
| ½ | ounce | Baker's yeast |
| 1 | Egg | |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 160 Centigrade (moderate oven). Mix all the dry ingredients and then mix in the egg. Put the mix into a greased baking tin and bake for about an hour, until golden brown on top.
