4cupsCooked veal, cubed
1Medium-sized onion, sliced
2tablespoonsDiced bacon
1cupCanned tomatoes
2Hard-cooked eggs, sliced
1teaspoonSalt
¼cupFat
1cupDiced potatoes
cupRice
2tablespoonsButter
¼teaspoonPepper
1cupWater

Directions

Combine bacon, potatoes and onion and brown in hot fat.

Add the chopped veal and seasoning.

When slightly browned, add the water and cook several minutes.

Cook rice until soft, drain and add tomatoes. Season.

Pour the meat mixture in a greased baking dish.

Cover with rice and tomatoes and place sliced eggs on top.

Add small pieces of butter. Cover.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
