Turkish marinaded kebabs ii (for fish)

Ingredients

½pintNatural yoghurt
1mediumOnion, juice of
1teaspoonBlack peppercorns, crushed
1teaspoonCumin seeds, crushed, optional
2teaspoonsPaprika, optional
2poundsCod steaks or monkfish or other firm white fish
Sea salt

Directions

The following marinades are from The Complete Meze Table by Rosamond Man.

Mix together the oil , yoghurt, onion juice and black peppercorns. Add either the cumin seeds or paprika, then stir in the cubed fish and leave for 2-12 hours.

Cook as above.

Note: If you don't want to put the onion through a juicer, grate it (I remember this was discussed before!!). If you don't want to bother with grating the thing, skewer onion quarters or small onions alternating with the meat or fish.
