Turkish marinaded kebabs ii (for fish)

Ingredients

4 | tablespoons | Olive oil |
½ | pint | Natural yoghurt |
1 | medium | Onion, juice of |
1 | teaspoon | Black peppercorns, crushed |
1 | teaspoon | Cumin seeds, crushed, optional |
2 | teaspoons | Paprika, optional |
2 | pounds | Cod steaks or monkfish or other firm white fish |
Sea salt |
Directions
The following marinades are from The Complete Meze Table by Rosamond Man.
Mix together the oil , yoghurt, onion juice and black peppercorns. Add either the cumin seeds or paprika, then stir in the cubed fish and leave for 2-12 hours.
Cook as above.
Note: If you don't want to put the onion through a juicer, grate it (I remember this was discussed before!!). If you don't want to bother with grating the thing, skewer onion quarters or small onions alternating with the meat or fish.
