Turkish marinaded kebabs ii (for fish)

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
4 tablespoons Olive oil
½ pint Natural yoghurt
1 medium Onion, juice of
1 teaspoon Black peppercorns, crushed
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds, crushed, optional
2 teaspoons Paprika, optional
2 pounds Cod steaks or monkfish or other firm white fish
Sea salt

Directions

The following marinades are from The Complete Meze Table by Rosamond Man.

Mix together the oil , yoghurt, onion juice and black peppercorns. Add either the cumin seeds or paprika, then stir in the cubed fish and leave for 2-12 hours.

Cook as above.

Note: If you don't want to put the onion through a juicer, grate it (I remember this was discussed before!!). If you don't want to bother with grating the thing, skewer onion quarters or small onions alternating with the meat or fish.
