Quantity | Ingredient | |
---|---|---|
110 | grams | Plain flour; (4oz) |
110 | grams | Icing sugar; (4oz) |
100 | grams | Butter melted; (3 1/2oz) |
2 | Egg whites |
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 180øC/350øF/gas mark 4.
Sift the icing sugar and flour together. Pour over the butter and egg whites and stir to a paste. Place teaspoons of the paste onto greased baking trays. Using a small palette knife spread the mixture thinly into rounds of about 10cm. It is best not to have more than 4 on a tray. Bake for approximately 5 minutes until the biscuits are golden round the edges.
Remove the biscuits from the oven and immediately roll round the end of a greased wooden spoon to form a tube. The shapes set quickly so you need to work fast. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
