Tomato soup with white beans and pasta

2Onions, chopped
3Garlic cloves, minced
3Carrots, chopped
1canTomatoes, drained (28 oz)
1canTomato juice (46 oz)
2cansWhite beans, drained (15 oz)
½teaspoonSugar
¼teaspoonCayenne pepper
½canTomato paste (6 oz)
½cupElbow macaroni

Directions

Heat oil in medium pan. Add onions and saute over low heat until tender. Add garlic and saute until tender but not brown. Add carrots, tomatoes, tomato juice, white beans, sugar, cayenne, and tomato paste. Simmer until carrots are tender, about 15 minutes. About 10 minutes before serving, add macaroni and simmer until AL DENTE.
