Tomato sauce for chiles rellenos

Ingredients

3tablespoonsOnion -- finely chopped
2teaspoonsGarlic, minced
1tablespoonButter
1can(15oz) Spanish-style tomato sauce
cupWater
¼teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonCrumbled oregano

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in butter til golden. Stir in tomato sauce, water, salt, and oregano. Simmer for 15 minutes. Serve hot. Makes 2½ cups.
