To roast individual cloves of garlic

½ | cup | Olive oil |
2 | Or 3 thyme sprigs | |
1 | Bay leaf | |
Salt & freshly ground pepper |
Directions
Preheat oven to 250 F. Break garlic head into cloves; leave inner skins on the cloves. Place garlic in a small oven-proof dish and add the olive oil, thyme and bay leaf. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Bake garlic until it is very tender, about 40 minutes. Turn the cloves over from time to time. Remove from the oven and let garlic come to room temperature.
