Sweet and sour pot roast (tyshenoe my sladkoe i kucloe)

| ½ | pounds | Beef brisket |
| Suet (for browing) | ||
| 2 | Onions, crushed | |
| 1 | Bay leaf | |
| 2 | tablespoons | Vinegar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Brown sugar |
| 3 | tablespoons | Catsup |
| 1 | Garlic clove, sliced | |
| ⅓ | cup | Seedless raisins |
| Stock or bouillon | ||
Directions
Brown meats in suet.Add onions and garlic. Add stock and bay leaf. Cover.
Simmer for 1 hour. Add vinegar and brown sugar. cover and simmer for 1 hour longer. Add catsup and raisins. Cover. Simmer for 30 minutes longer. Serve with noodles or Brown rice.
sugguested menu: Sweet and sour pot roast, noodles, peas, green salad, custard, coffee or tea.
