Sweet and sour pot roast (tyshenoe my sladkoe i kucloe)

Ingredients

½poundsBeef brisket
Suet (for browing)
2Onions, crushed
1Bay leaf
2tablespoonsVinegar
1tablespoonBrown sugar
3tablespoonsCatsup
1Garlic clove, sliced
cupSeedless raisins
Stock or bouillon

Directions

Brown meats in suet.Add onions and garlic. Add stock and bay leaf. Cover.

Simmer for 1 hour. Add vinegar and brown sugar. cover and simmer for 1 hour longer. Add catsup and raisins. Cover. Simmer for 30 minutes longer. Serve with noodles or Brown rice.

sugguested menu: Sweet and sour pot roast, noodles, peas, green salad, custard, coffee or tea.
