Steamer jambalaya

Ingredients

½cupOnion; chopped

1tablespoonFlour
14½ounceCan whole tomatoes
1cupWater
2teaspoonsDried parsley
1tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
¼teaspoonWhole thyme
teaspoonGround red pepper
1cupRaw converted rice
8ouncesShrimp; peeled & deveined

Directions

Place sausage, green pepper, onion and garlic in rice bowl. Add ½ cup water to reservoir, cover and steam from 10 to 12 minutes.

Stir flour into sausage mixture. Blend well. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp. Add 2-½ cups water to reservoir, cover and steam 43 to 44 minutes.

Add shrimp. Add ½ cup water to reservoir, cover and steam 10 to 12 minutes.

Serves 4

Total steaming time: 63 to 68 minutes.
