Spiced beef roast

½cupOnions, thinly sliced
½teaspoonGarlic, minced
1canVEG-ALL Mixed Vegetables, drained (16 oz)
1teaspoonThyme, dried
1Bay leaf
½teaspoonSalt
¼teaspoonPepper
1tablespoonBrown sugar
1cupBeer or water
1canBeef broth (12 oz)

Directions

1. Melt margarine in skillet; brown beef.

2. Add flour and mix well.

3. Add onions, garlic spices, sugar, beer or water, and broth.

4. Place casserole dish in 350'F. oven. Cook 1-½ hours until meat is tender, adding VEG-ALL 15 minutes before completion.

5. Remove whole bay leaf and serve.
