Spiced beef roast

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Margarine
2 pounds Beef stew meat, cubed
¼ cup Flour
½ cup Onions, thinly sliced
½ teaspoon Garlic, minced
1 can VEG-ALL Mixed Vegetables, drained (16 oz)
1 teaspoon Thyme, dried
1 \N Bay leaf
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Brown sugar
1 cup Beer or water
1 can Beef broth (12 oz)

1. Melt margarine in skillet; brown beef.

2. Add flour and mix well.

3. Add onions, garlic spices, sugar, beer or water, and broth.

4. Place casserole dish in 350'F. oven. Cook 1-½ hours until meat is tender, adding VEG-ALL 15 minutes before completion.

5. Remove whole bay leaf and serve.
