Measure | Ingredient |

4½ cup | Powdered sugar |
1 cup | Shortening |
6 tablespoons | Milk |
4 tablespoons | Flour or cornstarch |
1 dash | Salt |
1 teaspoon | Butter flavoring |
1 teaspoon | Almond |
1 tablespoon | Meringue powder; (found at Gygi's) |
Beat all ingredients together for about 5 to 10 minutes. Use cake decorating colors instead of food coloring. This frosting is wonderful for use with cake decorating apparatus. It keeps its shape yet stays soft to eat for many hours.
