Southern tea cakes

Yield: 36 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Shortening
1¾ cup Sugar
2 \N Eggs
½ cup Milk
½ teaspoon Vanilla
3 cups Flour, self-rising

In a mixing bowl, cream together shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs.

Add milk and vanilla; beat well. Stir in flour; mix well. Drop by tablespoonsful 2½" apart onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350ø for 15-20 minutes.
